Before we go on, thanks again to Mom for picking up Dad's slack and posting all those fabulous photos of the girls in our last entry... Maybe Dad needs to take a blogging siesta more often!!!
We took the lead photo in this post yesterday as Braelyn and Gwendolyn "helped" hang ornaments on our family Christmas tree.
Luckily, Mom made the executive decision to stick with the shatterproof ornaments that we purchased last year after Braelyn took to picking off our glass ones and hurling them on the ground to watch them shatter.
Sure enough, the first thing she said this year when she saw them was "balls" as she pointed at them with a look that was equal parts excitement and mischievousness.
The good news is that no ornaments were harmed in the trimming of the tree this year.

Sadly, now that the holiday decor is nearly all up, the realization that the Thanksgiving break is almost complete has begun to set it.
We even braved the shopper-ravaged mall yesterday in the nuclear winter that was the day after Black Friday to pick out the girls' Christmas morning jammers and their shirts to wear for their encounter with Santa this year. Strangely, we found both with relative ease.
